GSAPS for Black Lives Zoom Call
June 8, 2020 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm PDT
Join us on Monday, June 8, from 6pm – 7:30pm for a semi-structured + co-created Zoom call.
The Graduate Student Association for Psychedelic Studies is holding an open call this coming Monday for our community to connect around this current moment of brutal police violence against Black folks and protestors. This is intended specifically for people who are students and early career clinicians/researchers who consider themselves members of the psychedelic community.
This might be a space:
- To process our feelings and experiences of this moment
- To discuss how police violence, anti-blackness, and larger movements for liberation intersect with our work as proponents of psychedelic research and access
- To brainstorm how we can push our larger community to be more intersectional, inclusive, and aligned with global healing and justice
We will have a facilitated beginning to ground us in community together and decide how we want to spend our time — we may go into breakout groups if folks have different needs (our beloved community member Reba Hsu has volunteered to help ground a POC breakout group if that is relevant to the desires of folks in attendance).
The meeting login info is below (note the required password). We’ll also be sharing out on the MAPS student list. This meeting is limited to folks who consider themselves part of the student and early clinician/researcher community, so please don’t share on other psychedelic networks.
