Psychedelic Book Club

The GSAPS Psychedelic Book Club invites you to join us on Friday, October 21st, from 8pm – 9:30pm Eastern Standard Time | 5pm – 6:30pm Pacific Standard Time.

Selected readings come to us from Dr. J. Christian Greer, Ph.D.

For our October 2022 Meeting, we will be joined by Dr. J. Christian Greer, Ph.D., to discuss two of his forthcoming articles. Dr. Greer is a scholar of Religious Studies with a particular focus on psychedelic culture. His forthcoming book, Angelheaded Hipsters: Psychedelic Militancy in Nineteen Eighties North America (Oxford University Press), analyzes the diversification and expansion of psychedelic culture within fanzine networks in the late Cold War era. He will begin a fellowship at Yale University’s Institute of Sacred Music in 2023.
