Please join us in 2 weeks for a special offering from our very own Sam Hinds: Social Meditation.
Social meditation, a technique introduced by Kenneth Folk, is an experience in interpersonal mindfulness. Leading meditation away from the solitary confines of individual practice and into the intimacy of communion with others, it invites participants to verbally share moment-to-moment experience aloud in a social field of mutually attuned practitioners, facilitating mindful presence and supporting sustained attention while at the same time fostering human connection. Join Sam on Wednesday, February 17th from 6 – 7pm (PST) for a taste of Social Meditation, beginning with the basics. All are welcome—no prior experience required, only curiosity and willingness.
Sam Hinds received his M.A. in philosophy, cosmology and consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies and is currently working toward his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. He is presently training in psychedelic-assisted therapy at Sage Institute in Oakland, California—a clinical training site aiming to provide accessible psychedelic therapy through an approach integrating Jungian and archetypal psychology with an ethos focused on social justice.
Space is limited to the first 8 participants who RSVP for maximum engagement.
